How to enhance your eye smile - Makeup Tutorial

I made a video yesterday and uploaded it last night! :D

How to enhance/create eye smile using makeup!!!

Eye smile is known to be a very cute feature on a person because it portrays a genuine smile!

Just in case you don't know how eye smiles look like, they are actually the curves your eyes make when you smile. They are shaped like crescents. Some of us have a more prominent crescent shaped eyes when we smile, while some of us just have plain straight small eyes when we smile.

I noticed this makeup that I LOVE to do helps to enhance my eyes and make my eye smile more prominent...so I decided to name it the EYE SMILE MAKEUP!

No worries if you don't have a very prominent eye smile because this makeup helps you to enhance them. Now you can smile and squint your eyes for all you want! HAHAHA.

I've been loving this korean cosmetics/skin care brand called Innisfree so much lately!
In case you have no idea what this brand is, they are famous for their 'all natural' and 'eco friendly' products - flown all the way from Jeju Island! They also have Lee Min Ho and Yoona as their endorser, and I love them both very much!

What caught my eyes were the words "ALL NATURAL FROM JEJU" hahaha. For some reason it feels like it's very soothing and light for my skin since they are all natural haha!

I'm not paid for this post by the way, all the products are purchased with my very own money, other than the ones mentioned that were sent from Innisfree for review purposes~
I just personally really like this brand! ^_^

Anyway, months back, they sent me their top products!

I've tried the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and so far, there's no very obvious effect but it does help tighten my pores!
The Green Tea Seed Serum is also their top product! I've tried it once and I thought it really gave my skin a very hydrating feeling.

The good thing about Innisfree products is that they are all very very affordable!

Got myself this Green Tea Mineral Mist at $8!
I wanted to get this because when I went for the Lee Min Ho media conference with Innisfree, I saw Lee Min Ho use it in one of the videos HAHAHAHA.

I really wanted to get myself a BB cushion because I've heard how easy it is to use this product!
Got two from Innisfree for $34 each! A tad bit pricier but I tried it and I really like the result!
It's not super long lasting though, didn't last me throughout the entire day in school even after setting with powder. But the natural dewy finish is SOOOOO pretty!
Down side is the smell, but bearable.

I bought the #1 shade, and got my mom the #3 shade. :)

Also got myself all these!!!

Cherry Lip Tint for $7
Clear Lip Gloss for $19 (I think)
Eyebrow Pencil for $5

Very affordable!

I don't like the seal for the products because they leave these ugly marks on my pretty cosmetics after removing. T _ T

Anyway, I really like the eyebrow pencil for the very natural finish, although it's quite sad that they only come in 3 shades. This shade is a tad bit too dark for my hair but still alright if you see it in person haha. My friends told me they look pretty! ^_^

Bought a foundation because I swatched it on my hand and it gave this super moisturizing and dewy glow! Also heard some Korean makeup artist rave about this product so I thought I should try it!
$30 for this~ I got the W1 shade.

There were so many free gifts if we purchase more than a certain amount of $!
I received LMH's postcards, 3 sheet masks, face wipes and a water bottle!

I LOVE THE WATER BOTTLE OMG. I saw it on their FB page and was raving to Rachell about it and we're both like, THAT'S IT, WE GON' GET IT!!!!

HAHA.

I love the fat horse - it's the jeju horse if I'm not wrong hahaha.

Comes in this sock thing, it's way too cute!

INNIRANG!!!

They will be sending me another two products from their top sellers so I can't wait to talk to you about them!!! :D

Thanks for reading~

Happy Lunar New Year to all of you! :D

How is your CNY going?

I can't deny the fact that one of my favourite holidays apart from Christmas is definitely Chinese New Year! It's the time we get ang paos, gamble, talk to our relatives that we haven't met for really really long, find time to gather together and have fun and etceteras!
BUT!
I also have to admit that it is getting boring every year.

I know it's all about how we see it in the end, also wouldn't deny that I had lots of fun despite the boredom!

Hope your CNY wasn't a bad one!

As usual, my family and I went to Malaysia for CNY since all my relatives are there.
My parents were Malaysians, so that made me a PR when I was born (in Spore), and we got switched to Spore Citizen when I was 11. Hope that clears your doubts! HAHA.

Day one of CNY was as per normal. We visited temples with my dad for blessings.
I'm a free thinker so I go anywhere since I can!

Make up of the day was very simple too!
Tried going the very feminine look la HAHAHA since CNY I must be a little more unique, and this isn't the usual way I will dress.

Even matched my outfit with a cute little pony case. Will update on my instagram on where you can get this!

We went to walk around at the new mall at Kulai called AEON!
Grabbed a quick lunch at Kenny Rogers! :)

Met my buddy Doreamon too! HAHAHA.

After that, we went to my grannie's place. Aaaand that's pretty much all haha. xD

Special feature of my outfit of day one since I rarely posts OOTD shots hahahaha.

Dress from an online blogshop.
Shoes from Steve Madden.
Bag from Carlo Rino.
Earrings (can see from the upclose shots) from JRunway.

Soooooo for Day Two, I went to my grannie's place for a visit again haha.

Gamble a bit, rot a bit, talk a bit.

My outfit for day two!

Top from Stradivarius.
Necklace from Forever21.
Skirt from Taobao.
Shoes from Steve Madden.

After the visit, we had a reunion dinner with my relatives and grandma.

YuSheng!

My lovely family and relatives. :)

That's all for my first two days of CNY!

Hope you had a great time! Enjoy this joyful holiday as much as you can! ^_^

XOXO

Just about few months back, I got invited by TW Magic Shop (FAR EAST PLAZA #01-83) as their guest to do some makeover for my readers!

I did a quick contest on Twitter to choose two winners, if you still remember!

Anyway, the event was pretty fun since I got to do makeup on my pretty readers haha, thank you so much for trusting my skills. xD

Just in case you're wondering what Magic Shop is...
It's a Taiwan based cosmetic brand and is pretty popular, being mentioned in tons of magazines, newspapers and shows like Apply Daily, Nv Ren Wo Zui Da (highly recommended by Taiwanese Makeup Guru, Kelvin!!!), Teenage magazine and U magazine!

The unique thing about their makeup range is that they can combine and give a different effect! Also, the products do work like MAGIC on our faces, making us prettier than we already are. :D

Some of their base cosmetics are highly raved by many!

My first reader to arrive for her makeover!
She's really young so I decided to do a simple light makeup for her.

The foundation I've used on her skin!
UV Expert Serum SPF 30 PA+++ (comes in 4 shades)
The texture is very light so it wouldn't feel that thick on the face.
Application is really simple as well.

My very serious face while working on her face hahaha.

Also very serious when it comes to choosing products because their products all look really pretty, I have no idea which one to use. T _ T

Some of the products I've used on her face...

3 Tone Brown eyeshadow, 36 hours Waterproof Eyeliner, Fibre Mascara and Shimmer White Eyeliner!

I like how easy it is to use the eyeliner! The thin tip of the eyeliner makes a very precise line on the eye!

Translucent highlight powder, Red lipstick in No. 05 and Champagne Rose Blusher!

End result!!! :D
Do you like it?

Super adorable! ^_^

Since I've done the sweeter look for the first, I've decided to do a thicker makeup on my next reader~

Also very pretty without makeup already!

I've used the same cosmetics for her, just that instead of brown eyeshadow, I've used the black one. :)

It's slightly darker than the previous makeup but it does suit her tan skin pretty well! ^_^

End result!
I hope you like it as much as I do! :D

With the very pretty shop owners! ^_^ Thank you so much for having me!

TW Magic Shop gave me a few items to try out after the event. I was so excited to try them out because after their explanation of the products, I am quite amazed by how they work.
On top of that, most of their products have natural flower extract which made their products smell really good.
Since the products have natural flower extract, it sounds like it will be very light and soothing on my skin!

This works as a gentle exfoliator!
If you hate having those sand rubbing against your face, you can give this a try.

Your dead skin cells comes off as flakes and your skin will feel sooo clean after using!

This lip stain is the BOMB.
I've been looking for the best lip stain that will last me forever because I hate reapplying lipsticks over and over.
This lasts me a whole day and gives a really nice natural pink. You can cheat a bit and tell people it's your real lip colour. Bet they will believe it!

It is enriched with Vitamin E and Cherry Blossom Extracts. On top of that, it has no paraben added!
You can wear this to sleep and wake up to beautiful rosy lips as no removal is needed.

If you have decoloration in your lips, this can be of much help.

Their makeup remover smells so good because of the cherry blossom extract!
No alcohol is added as well. :D
I've tried it and it works really well at removing makeup. Thanks to it, removing makeup is such a breeze~

This is their star product and is raved everywhere! If you're a person who loves flawless, porcelain skin, you need to get one of this.
After application, your skin will be more refined, smooth and matte. It also helps lock in your moisturiser! So much goodness in a bottle!

Two of the products I'm using and is loving!!!

They also have a wide range of nail polishes
(more than 60 colours!)
PROMOTION at $3.90 each,
BUY 4 GET 1 FREE!

And they have their PREMIUM SPARKLING RANGE!

A little bit on Magic Shop's on the news and magazines...

Hello!

I wanted to share with you a makeup look but I got a tad bit too lazy to blog about the step by step.
And it also turns out that the makeup didn't really appear on my photos because of the overly exposed lighting. :(
Quite tough 'cause I don't own a studio and I use a ring light and my camera sucks.

Ahem as you can see in the picture....you obviously cannot tell how different my makeup look from usual from these pictures HAHAHA.

Also can't really tell from this picture but I used gold with bronze and brown.

I'm trying to find the best lighting so I can start doing makeup tutorial on my blog instead~ :D

Just a quick post to post up the pictures I took since the makeup tutorial failed LOL.

Thanks for staying by, will be back soon!

I'm in for ANYTHING that will leave me with beautiful skin.
I think the most important thing about outer beauty is to have glowy, flawless, nice skin.
Usually even with makeup, we can't conceal bumps, large pores and pimples.

Also, with nice skin, our makeup routine will be faster and easier 'cause we don't have to spend so much time on our foundation!

I visited the IDS Clinic Launch few days back!

Since beautiful skin is so important to me, I need a clinic that is promising, a clinic that I can put my trust in.

Before this, I got sponsored by another dermatologist thanks to Chester.
He's a really nice guy who brought me into the whole 'nice skin' world HAHA I am soooo grateful to have him take care of my skin!
He's working with IDS Clinic now so... I put my trust in them! :)
On top of that, IDS Clinic is started by Dr S K Tan, who is the renowned founder of The DRx Clinic.

I'm so excited to work with them, especially after hearing how good the new and improved products are gonna be!!!! (Heard their face scrub is soooo good that you can see immediate effect!!)

With Hayley during the event~

It's been a while since I last did treatments so I can't wait to have my facial done at IDS clinic!!!!

Got a tour around IDS Clinic, one of their treatment rooms!

This is Chester, the person behind my beautiful skin!!!! ^_^ Thank you thank you!

With Yina! ♥

And one with Dr S K Tan, the man behind IDS Clinic and the awesome skin care range that works almost like 'magic potions' on our skin!

IDS Clinic is located at:

My hair sponsor - CLEO Hair & Make has been really really awesome because they make my hair look so pretty all the time!!!

It was my last visit at CLEO Hair & Make's PARCO outlet because.... they are moving!!!

I heard their new outlet will be much bigger so I can't wait to pimp up my fabulous hurrrrr at their new outlet~

My new hair colour is called Lavender Coconut Brown.
It's slightly purplish if you see it under the light, and it's a tad bit darker than my usual liking but I really wanted something darker 'cause my hair looks really damaged with bright yellow lion hair. :(

With the person behind my fab hair HAHA - TAKUYA!!! ^_^
Thank you for the very nice hair all the time!
I think it's quite stressful for him also 'cause if my hair don't turn out good I will get quite grumpy for the whole week HAHAHA.
But thankfully, he's quite patient la and he did quite a brilliant job with my hair so far, I really love!

Randy went to do his hair as well!!! Quite rare all of us get to dye our hair together so a picture for memory's sake. xD

With Samantha JIEJIE. ♥

Anyway,
CLEO HAIR & MAKE will be opening at CLARKE QUAY, The Central, on 13th March! ^_^
It's a better location for me 'cause it's so much more convenient haha.

YAY! Can't wait for the opening, SEE YOU SOON, CLEO HAIR!!!

You can book your appointment with them too~ Visit their FACEBOOK for more info!

Cocktail making session with People's Association

I wouldn't say I'm much of a fan of alcohol, but I wouldn't deny that it's pretty cool looking at bartenders mixing drinks, shaking the shaker and pouring out different coloured drinks in glasses.

Since young, I've always wanted to try shaking that shaker in those fancy moves and come up with different unique drinks myself!
And you know what's cool?
The People's Association invited me to an exclusive Cocktail Making workshop in conjunction with Valentine’s Dayon the 15th of February held at the stunning SOPRA (Pan Pacific Hotel) and I got to try making the drinks myself!

I never knew PA will come up with such interesting courses for people of our age group as I thought the courses are either more for seniors or children.

Honestly, I've always thought making cocktails looked really clean and easy, but my experience kind of proved me wrong.
Every job has it's own difficulty, I guess. Looking at all the different bottles with different coloured liquids made my head spin.

We were supposed to be teamed up in groups of 4! Each group has a table with items and ingredients we need to make cocktails. :)

Before we get to do hands on, we had to go through a theory lesson first HAHA and frankly speaking, the quick lesson was really interesting because we get to learn about all these bar equipments that used to be alien to me, but I couldn't wait to start making those cocktails myself!!!

This is the PA Guest Trainer from Drinkdings!

We were given notes to look through and also recipes for the cocktails we will be making.

Look at all these fancy-looking colourful syrups on the table hahaha.

Anyway, my partner of the day was my cousin!!! ^_^

Finally, we got to start doing the hands on!

Of course, being the most excited one, I'm the first to pick up everything on the table haha.

We had to follow the recipe closely in order to get the right taste but in the end we added more of the things we like. xD
We need a bit of a twist to match our tastebuds right...?

The boston shaker looks really big next to my tiny hands hahaha.

The bartenders always make it seem so easy shaking these shakers but actually, it's so tough!
The metal shaker is really cold since we had to fill it up with ice, and it's quite heavy so it's really amusing how the bartenders can make shaking shakers look like a breeze.

To add on, making cocktails is a pretty 'dirty' job.
Our tables ended up in a mess and our hands all sticky and dirty from the syrups.

As you can see from my expression hahaha.

It was really really fun but I have to admit it's tougher than I thought!

Anyway, we had to made three different drinks, The Adam/Eve Forbidden Fruit Martini, G-spot and Honeymoon Decadence.

My favourite drink is The Adam/Eve Forbidden Fruit Martini because it's a lot sweeter than the rest and it's apple flavoured!

Holding my favourite drink. It's the first drink we made and it tasted really good we thought we were pretty damn good at this HAHA.

We had to cut fruits for the decoration as well~ Can't leave a martini glass looking plain!

Cheers to our successful first-try!!!! Wait...where's my drink?! xD

This is the second drink, G-spot. (What a name...I know hahaha.)

This drink consists of Cranberry Juice, Tomato Juice, Peach Archer and Gin.
The taste of tomato turns out quite strong in the drink so I didn't like it as much as the first.

The last drink, Honeymoon Decadence, consists of Passion Fruit Juice, honey syrup, chocolate essence and rum!

The interesting thing about this drink is that we had to put the exact right amount of chocolate essence in the drink so the colour will turn out orange with a tinge of brown.
BUT! As you can see in the picture, the colour didn't look very good hahahaha. #Fail

Nonetheless, it still tastes really good like passion fruit with a hint of chocolate but I still prefer the first!!!

With my manager, Jayne!!! :D

And a shot with all the people at the cocktail making session. :)

It was a really fun and eye-opening experience, I have to say.
Since it's my very first time at workshop with People's Association, I think it was quite a good one!

TheTrainer was very nice! A lot of us had a problem with opening the Boston shaker after mixing our cocktail so he went around different groups, teaching us how we can open it up easily.
On top of that, PA was very nice and prepared food for us so we got to enjoy really yummy pizzas after the course. :)

Now I can make my own cocktails, raise your hand if you want to try my cocktails!!!! xD

If you guys were like me and thought that PA only offers art courses or taichi courses, you were wrong!

Check out their e-book here!
The e-book has some handy tips ranging from fitness to some yummy recipes too! There are so many different courses to pick up from! You can click on any of the titles in the e-book to sign up directly for the course!

And if you still can’t find a course that suits your style, log on to www.one.pa.gov.sg and search for a course!

Spent the entire day filming and taking pictures for adverts.

My camera was being such a douchebag!!! Not sure what's wrong with it but it kept stopping when I was filming and it claimed that my memory card is full.
So I used up 2 of my 8GB SD cards wtf. I don't remember my video sizes are that huge even if I set it to the best quality.

Anyway, I took about two to three hours filming and another 30 minutes taking pictures for advertorials.
Finally got to edit the video AND my Final Cut Pro X failed on me.
I can't get it to render and export. I'm thinking it's my camera's problem so I used my other camera and filmed the edited version of my video via the preview section.

Luckily the video turns out fine, although I'm really anal about having high quality videos...

CAN'T HELP IT ANYMORE, AT LEAST I GOT IT POSTED UP.

Here's my video! Hope you like it because really.... a lot of effort for one person...and my lovely mom.

Products used:

Innisfree Moisture Foundation
Mac Studio Finish Concealer
Mac Studio Fix Face Powder
Innisfree Eyebrow Pencil
Kate Eyebrow Powder
Dollywink Eyeshadow in 02
Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner
Maybelline Colorshow in Cocoa Brown
Maybelline Colorshow in Black
Maybelline Blush 'em blusher in 03 I'm Pop
Benefit High Beam
Bubbi Complete Brush Set (http://shopbubbi.com)

I really like the Bubbi Brushes!!! :D
The bristles are very soft and I took quite a while powdering my face because the powder brush is damn soft and comfortable to use HAHAHAHA.

Just a disclaimer though, I really like Mr.Mr.'s makeup because it's quite do-able, and probably even suitable for daily use if we tone down the red lipstick.
NOT doing it because I think I look like Taeyeon or anything.
The reason why I chose to do Taeyeon's look is because she has bangs, and I do, which makes the look easier for me to achieve lol. And her poster makeup is very nice.
But after comparing, I think all of them has similar makeup on for that scene so it really depends on how you look.

I didn't change my features or anything (with makeup) in the video just to look like her.

Felt the need to explain since some people made such a huge fuss on my instagram (??) and I find really find it quite hilarious and dumb.

Thanks for watching, if you did! :)

One of my favourite local online stores that I've made lots of visits has got to be...

Sassy Dream!!! :D

The first time they sponsored me some apparels, I was so happy with their apparels I got back to buy a dress for CNY haha.
I remember their romper fits me so well I LOVEEEE IT.

Check out some of the clothes Sassy Dream sent me this time round!!!

The self-tye checkered skorts is really one of a kind!!! It's actually a pair of shorts, but from the back it looks like a skirt. The front part of the skorts has these 'sleeves' thingy that we tie ourselves.

Super cute and creative!

I like the baseball shirt so much too!!!

Anyway, the skorts accentuate your legs and make them look slimmer too!!! ^_^

The gigi plaid zipper dress has this wool material so it's a lot thicker than usual cotton dress.

Trip to Korea - Day 1 & 2

Hello everyone!

Finally made my dream come true by visiting one of my favourite places on earth, KOREA!!!

I've been wanting to visit South Korea since I was a little kid. I remember watching 'Stairway to Heaven' and have always been anticipating to visit Lotte World hahaha.
Anyway, Hallyu wave is crazy almost everywhere so I WANT TO VISIT KOREA at least once in my life!

I flew to South Korea for 5D4N with my school for a study trip so we didn't really get to play as much as we want to. Most of the things were planned so we kindda just followed the schedule.

Brunch on flight for the first day. :)

Went through a brief talk about healthcare tourism in Korea and got myself a BANANA MILK!!!

Every time I visit a different country, their convenience store is the FIRST place I want to visit!!! They have so many different things compared to what we have here in Singapore omgggg. *_*
I would've bought everything down if I could haha.

Their popular banana milk! It tastes the same as the Binggrae banana milk we have in Singapore, just that the packaging is different.

My partner for 5 days, Yolanda. :D

We didn't get to do a lot of things on the first day since we touched down at about late afternoon.

Fast forward to the dinner on the first day....

GINSENG CHICKEN SOUP!!! ^_^
Always wanted to try 'cause I always see this on the TV!

It was pretty good but I'm quite surprised that the soup base itself doesn't have the ginseng taste haha. The ginseng taste is inside the chicken because they stuffed glutinous rice and ginseng in the chicken.

It was so filling though!!!

Passed by a lot of shopping malls when we're on our way to the hotel.
Kim Soo Hyun was everywhere!!!
Ah indeed...my alien brother hahaha.

We stayed at Golden Forest Residence, somewhere near Dapsimni station.
I wouldn't say it's a very convenient place though HAHAHA 'cause it's kind of empty there at night, but if you walk a distance away, there's this street selling quite a lot of things called Yongdap.

I was quite desperate to try Korea's ddeokbokki and oden so I was damn happy when we chanced upon this shop!!!

Their fish cake stick is damnnnnnn good omg that soup base. *_*

Oh oh and apparently Paris Baguette is quite common around Seoul and they sell so many yummy pastries that our Paris Baguette don't sell!!! They have popsicles and cakes and cookies and all that.

Got myself this banana cake that tastes a lot like Tokyo Banana for about 1500won. :)

The next day...

On the second day, we got to take a super long bus ride to Gyeongju!

The lighting in the morning is extremely good for pictures there!!!!

With our touring manager who I happen to meet during casting for ABTM with Noah and Rachell hahaha such coincidence!!! I was thinking why she looked so familiar!!!

And so the very very long bus ride begins. T _ T It' s about 3-4 hours away.

We stopped at a resting station for lunch and my friends were saying that this resting station is the place where Running Man filmed an episode with GD.

I can't really remember but HEY IT'S A RESTING STATION and I know RM filmed a lot around resting stations haha so YAY.

Udon for lunch was meh.

And there was this area with a lot of street snacks!!! Was so excited to try them out but the food looked really cold and boring so I didn't buy much.

The potatoes that Jihyo loves. xD

And my very yummy yet cold cuttlefish.

I also got to try this popular ice cream in Korea hahaha. Everything popular I must try because #kiasu.

It was really good though!!!!! We gotta wait quite a while for it to melt a little before eating and I had it in the bus so I didn't die from the cold.

Finally reached Daegu area and we made a visit to this herb museum.

A very pretty old church beside the museum.

O_O Very very nice.

Some (actually just two) pictures from the museum.

After walking around, there was this foot spa waiting for us...

The foot spa is supposed to be very comfortable since the weather outside is so cold (about 15 degrees celsius) but we were all freaked out by how hot the water is HAHAHA. It's about 43 degrees celsius if I'm not wrong.

It burns when I first put my feet in but after a while it gets a little more comfortable.

Anyway, check out how my feet look after the treatment......

Red and bloated hahaha. I was damn shocked by how swollen my feet was. xD
Some dead skin fell off so I guess the treatment worked well!

After that, we walked around the retail area and I bought some red ginseng tea.
There's this herb medicine or something on the table and it's free la so we all got very kiasu and drank a lot of it.

HAHA it didn't taste very good but since it's good for the body....might as well!

Dinner for Day Two was Pork Cutlet.
It was good for a pork cutlet but I'm not a fan of fried food so I didn't really like it.

We went to shop around that area and went to our hotel at Gyeongju! ^_^

That's all for Day One and Two!

Will blog about Day Three, Four and Five when I'm as free as today HAHAHA.

Thanks for reading! xx

여러분 안녕하세요~
Yerobun Annyeonghasehyo!

We woke up at Gyeongju's resort (I don't remember which hotel I stayed in lol my bad).
I really like the hotel at Gyeongju more than the one we're staying in Seoul because it's a lot bigger, plus there are a lot of facilities around.
There's a huge lake near our hotel so you get to have a fantastic view if you're lucky enough to have your room facing the lake.
At the basement of our hotel, there are a lot of shops, a mart, and also an arcade. Pretty satisfying for a night haha.

So yeah, outfit for the third day!

I think we didn't really get to do a lot of things on the second and third day because we're on the bus most of the time since Gyeongju and Seoul is about 3-4 hours apart.

Anyway, my favourite outfit is on the third day so I'll share with you where I got them from.

Beanie from Taobao.
Jacket from Stradivarius.
Top from ShopSassyDream.
Pants from Stradivarius.
Shoes from Converse.
Socks from H&M.

As always (perhaps in Korea all the time hahaha), the perfect lighting for pictures!!!

And here is a whole chunk of necessary but excessive selcas LOL.

Also forcefully want my friends to be part of the picture although they aren't ready for my camera lol.

And a selfie with the floor.

And one with my friends.

There is this pretty cherry blossom tree right outside and I thought it really needed a picture but first...

LET ME TAKE A SELFIE~

LOL.

Honestly, it looks quite dull and boring standing there alone.

Last one for now.

We got to the cafeteria for breakfast.

I'm very happy because they have seaweed soup!!!! ^_^

I thought they will provide us with massive korean style breakfast but it didn't turn out so (for both the hotel at Gyeongju and Seoul) but it's still good enough. Anyway, I prefer Gyeongju's hotel breakfast compared to the hotel we stayed at Seoul. T _ T It's a pity we're only at Gyeongju's resort for a night.

My style. Kimchi and egg lol.

After our breakfast, we visited this place called Skylake. Apparently, they create cosmetics and skincare using natural ingredients that are consumable.

I slept throughout the bus ride over so I'm not exactly sure where I was HAHAHA but I'm guessing we're probably at the mid area of a mountain?

Looks like it right? I really like it there though!!! Very peaceful and the weather there is perfection.

A lot of us were saying we'll want to go back to 养老 LOL.  Next time when we're old and grumpy, we want to head back to that area.

We were there to make shampoos and soaps!
APRONS ON.

Surprisingly (or not), the shampoo is so difficult to make. There are so many steps!!!!

End result! Why am I not surprised that my soap turn out this bad.

I haven't got to try my shampoo 'cause I'm quite attached to my Mucota shampoo from CLEO hahaha but I heard it helps to control hair fall! Maybe I can get my dad to try it out first. :D

After making soap and shampoo, Skylake prepared very nice tea and sweets at this traditional teahouse.

I AM SO HAPPY. I kindda have this fetish over traditional teahouses lol. Feels like I'm roleplaying in Joseon dynasty or something.

I think I was the only one who was excited over these rice cakes, persimmons and tea because the rest of the girls scattered off to the retail area. xD

So yeah, like some old lady, I decided to sit there and enjoy my tea with some rice cakes while looking at my granddaughters splurging on Skylake's products.
I finished two servings of rice cakes and almost the whole pot of tea by the way.

We headed to this restaurant nearby after that for our lunch.

Again, I was damn excited because...

JUST CHECK THIS OUT.
CHECK OUT THOSE MASSIVE SIDE DISHES.

One thing I love about Korean cuisine is that they always have so many side dishes!
I'm quite picky when it comes to eating, like I wouldn't be able to stand eating a type of food for long. When I have rice, I want to have lots of side dishes to eat with so I won't get bored of my food so quickly.

I didn't finish my food though. More specifically speaking, I only had about five spoons of bibimbap before I teared up lol.
I'm not sure where exactly the stench came from but this HORRIBLE stench hit me all of a sudden and I just couldn't force myself to eat. It felt like my stomach turned upside down and I want to puke all the food I had in my stomach right away.
I forced my food in, still, and I teared up immediately because it was SO HARD to swallow. T _ T

I AM SO SAD BECAUSE I DIDN'T GET TO FINISH THESE. THEY WERE REALLY GOOD THOUGH.

Yeap, we are not fated to meet, bibimbap.

Anyway, the view outside the restaurant is a breathtaking one.

Can't really show how beautiful it was through this picture but it was really nice!!!

We took a 3-4 hours bus ride back to Seoul.

Han River! Very happy to see this because it means I endured the 3-4 hours bus ride and I'm back in Seoul LOL.

We visited the Jimjilbang at the Dragon Hill spa if I don't remember wrongly! I didn't try the hot spring one since we had to go all naked lol so I went to the dry sauna but DAMN WAS IT AMAZING.

My favourite sauna room has got to be the salt one! We get to lie on the salt stone, it was super relaxing and my sore arms felt so much better after!

The best part of being in a jimjilbang is to eat the eggs and drink that rice punch~!! Super yummy and shiok to lie on the heated floor and eat all these while watching RM on the TV hahaha.
I really want to go back~~~~

Also got to see the anpanman machine as made famous by choo sarang HAHAHA.

Dinner for the third day is Seafood stew!!!!
IT WAS GOOOOOOOD.

I LOVE SEAFOOD.
The soup base is so sweet!!!

WAHHHH.

Aaaaand yeah that's all for the third day! We did a lot more on the fourth day since we didn't have to spend so much time travelling on the bus.

See you on the next post~

Thanks for reading! xx

Do you have skin problems that you wish will be gone right away?

I absolutely hate DRY, DULL AND YELLOW skin!

I really envy those K-drama's actresses with such bouncy and dewy skin! I want their fair, rosy, glowing skin too!

I've tried so many things for my skin to get more hydrated but even drinking a lot of water didn't really help solve my skin problem. :(

Dry skin is such a pain!
If it gets too dry, it cracks up and hurt so much. Dry skin makes it difficult for me to apply makeup too!

Fortunately, GARNIER introduces the new Sakura White Hydration Booster, a new addition to Garnier's best-selling Sakura White range!

Rosy, radiant, baby skin? Garnier Sakura White Hydration Booster gives you all that you asked for!

Apparently, Garnier Sakura White Hydration Booster contains two key ingredients, Super Hydrating Gel and Sakura Extracts!

These tiny Sakura Pearls burst upon application and blend with the super hydrating gel!

It hydrates and transforms dull yellowish skin to the pinkish hydrated rosy glow!

Trip to Korea - Day 4 & 5

I'm feeling kindda sleepy now but also quite excited to write about my day four in Korea! :D
Although I really dread typing a lot, I actually hope I have ten more other days to blog about for my trip to Korea.

So anyway, the fourth day in Korea!

We visited the popular Hanok Village! Quite fascinated because the houses are so pretty and traditional.
Reminds me of dramas like Personal Taste and Heartstrings!
Heard Personal Taste was filmed there! DOES THAT MEAN I'M WALKING THE ROAD LEE MIN HO WALKED?! LOL *hyperventilates* kidding.

The traditional houses all have this high-tech door knob attached to them already. Not sure what that high-tech door knob thing is called LOL.

It's really very very pretty there! I want to stop at every corner and take some pictures but too bad I'm following a guide so I can't just stop everywhere.

After walking up the whole village, we got to catch this amazing view from the top.

I love how the chilly weather made every view look so pretty!

Selcas with touring buddies for 5 days! :D

Saw this house with beautiful cherry blossoms growing out from it so I couldn't resist and snapped a few pictures! Too pretty.

Looks like we took this right out of some dramas isn't it?!

While we were walking to the Blue House, I saw this cute dog which kind of resembles Hachiko HAHAHA. The old granny and her dog looks so much like the ones in some Japanese or Korean movie? You know, those with a very touching storyline.

Halmoni, I just took a picture of you and your dog and it's very movie-poster-worthy!!! HAHA.

I told my friend I thought these gloomy trees look really pretty and I kind of prefer them like this more than being green and healthy LOL.
Maybe 'cause back in Singapore we have so many green trees I'm kind of bored of them already. These gloomy trees tell me that I'm in a different country!

The gate right opposite the Blue House.

It's the office and residence of Korea's Head of State.
I think I saw it on the show Yoona acted in called "Prime minister and I"? Hope I didn't get it wrong hahaha.
The guards around the Blue House looked really scary with their shades on. Totally expressionless.

We left for the Korean Cultural Centre after that! :D

My melon milk and I! I find this really good, surprisingly! :O Hope it's selling in Singapore 'cause I'm kindda craving for it now!

We made our own Kimchi at the Korean Cultural Centre! HAHA honestly we didn't really 'make' our own kimchi. We just got to smear the 'already-made-sauce' on the cabbage, also didn't get to bring our kimchi home. They donated the kimchi we made.

Got to try on hanbok for some pictures! Anyway, the Korean Cultural Centre was super crowded 'cause our schedule clashed with a group of China tourist and it was so annoying because the place isn't that big and everybody wants to try on the hanbok.
I queued at the adults section and apparently their hanbok ran out of my size and I got thrown to the kids section with my other friend. I was quite happy though, at least I didn't have to squeeze with all the other tourists.
I had to squeeze into a hanbok that I can't fit because the ajummas are all in a rush and forcefully want the hanbok to fit me. Luckily, this young man got me another hanbok (the one I got to wear in the picture) that fits me!!

Whatever it is, SWAG CHECKED.

My hanbok is different from the rest hahaha.

And here is the very demure me trying to pour you a cup of tea.

So...lunch for the fourth day was some shabu shabu!!

It's my favourite meal for the entire trip! Maybe 'cause I was starving but I ate one and a half bowl of rice LOL.

The side dishes....yummy~

After lunch, we headed to this place, or perhaps, took a time machine back to the Joseon dynasty LOL.

Not exactly sure where I went but it's another pretty village!

With very pretty cherry blossoms!

We had a free check-up by the sinseh and everybody got treatment done right at the spot. The treatment is done by putting this plaster with a very tiny needle on the right acupoint of your ear.
I have no problems so I didn't get to try the treatment (PHEW I ALMOST DIED I WAS SO SCARED)!
The sinseh told me that I can eat more aloe to increase my appetite to help solve my underweight issues. :D Good thing I love aloe.

That day we got to try rice wine facial at a skin clinic in Myeongdong too!

Dinner for the fourth day was Samgyupsal!!!!

DAMN FILLING because we were so kiasu since the pork was free flow.

After dinner, we stopped at Myeongdong for shopping, and sadly, I didn't get to buy a lot of things and I fell sick that night. -_-

Got to see Droptop cafe!!! Droptop cafe appeared in a lot of drama before so it's quite fascinating to see (I think 'cause they are damn rich and they sponsored a lot of dramas haha).

It's not the same outlet as the ones in the dramas though. But still as fascinating to me!!!!

For the last day in Korea...

We visited Skinanniversay near Incheon!

We weren't given enough time to walk around but I managed to run through their hallyu teddy bear museum hahaha. Check out their SNSD bears.

Tell me your wish. *does crazy leg dance*

We got to do some facial at SkinAnniversay so I removed all my makeup and didn't bother to put them back.

Anyway, Korea has amazing strawberries and they are all freaking sweet!!!
Bought mine with my friend for 7000won near our hotel. Apparently we got cheated by that halmoni because everywhere else is selling at less than 5000won.
Luckily it's a granny and the strawberries tasted pretty good.
WOULD'VE FLIPPED SOME TABLES.

Got to Incheon International Airport and HOME SWEET HOME!!

For once I wasn't dreading to go home because I really missed home. I think it was because I fell sick and felt very sad and lonely. :(
It only hit me after my fever subsided that I WANT TO GO BACK TO KOREA and do so many things I didn't get to do.

Can't wait to go back to Korea! Free and easy touring is still the best 'cause we get to do everything we want to. I just want to chill at some cafes and shop at their supermarkets!!!!

I miss their convenience shop! They have soooo many yummy things we don't have here pft.

KOREA, I WILL BE BACK SOON!!!!

xx

My experience with IDS (1)

As I've mentioned, my new skin care sponsor is IDS Clinic and they will be taking full care of my face now!!! (Read about my blog post on IDS Clinic's launch)

I've mentioned why I've changed my sponsor previously so if you're interested, you can head back to my previous post on IDS Clinic to read about that.
It's really not about the place, it's about the people managing the things. I trust Chester and Dr Tan for their skills and knowledge about a lot of things involving our skin.
I mean, when it comes to the FACE...it's not something you want to joke about hahaha.

So about a month back, I visited IDS Clinic with my #LapsupSwag for consultation!

My face without base makeup.

It looks like it's fine from here but I haven't been using any skin care products since they ran out months before I've taken that picture and I've been waiting for IDS Clinic to launch HAHA so I didn't get to take care of my skin as often.

My forehead has the most problem but you can't really see because I have my fringe covering all the time (which contributes to why there are so many problems on my forehead lol)

So here are my biggest concern for my skin!!! (Sorry I'll have to scare you)

I used to have occasional breakouts on my entire forehead but they are all gone after using products. Since I've been skipping my products for months, my breakouts got worse and grew back around my hairline!!!
Can't blame the hormones you know, I'm only 18 going on 19 LOL.

I have freckles around my face and no products really helped so they just stayed and I THINK grew more obvious recently since I got whiter.

Also some blackheads and large pores since I didn't use any products to help control my sebum.

I do have a problem with dry skin as well but you can't tell in pictures. :O

So after consultation, I was given a series of products suitable for my skin type and specially for my concerns.

From right to left...
Toner (Spray type) - SUPER love how it's spray type so I don't need to use cotton pads hahaha.
Pore - For pores/blackheads
C+ - Vitamin C for radiant, glowing skin (My favourite product)
A+ - Vitamin A
OM - Moisturizer
Sunscreen - Love the velvety finish, not oily at all
Spot - The packaging is so creative! For acne.

Will be making a video to explain my current skin care routine so do wait for that! ^_^

They also provided us with this booklet so we won't forget which step comes first. I don't need this anymore since I can already remember the steps haha.

Anyway, this is my forehead NOW (taken a few days ago).

I don't have a picture of my full face because I just did LASER TREATMENT at IDS Clinic to remove my freckles!!!
I have to say my pores definitely got more refined and my skin is glowing! :D
I will write up a post after I recover from the laser treatment and show you how my skin looks like now~

As you can see from my forehead, the major problems like break outs are all cleared (except a little bit of acne scars here and there)!
I think IDS Clinic is pretty good at treating acne problems. Their products are amazing for acnes!!!
I'm very happy at the result because my forehead used to be overcrowded with pimples and it's so ugly. :(

Will do up another post for the laser treatment soon so do wait for the final result!!!! :D
